I was recently contacted by the MUMS society at Leeds University, asking me to create another poster for an upcoming event. I did a flyer for the society last year and it seemed to go down well, so I was pleased when they asked me to do another.

The theme I was given was “Futuristic vs Prehistoric Cavemen”, which was a bit of a challenge but I decided to play on the ‘versus’ aspect of the brief and looked at old boxing posters, which inspired the final design.

Faces Of Fifa is an idea I came up with sat in my student house with friends as I watched, and participated in the heated games that take place. Emotions run high and there is never a dull game. I thought it would be a good idea to document people playing it through photography, capturing the array of facial expressions and poses that can only be witnessed in this situation. If you wish to submit your own photos on to the blog and have them edited, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I had a look into the futuristic world of QR codes not too long ago. I’d seen them everywhere and assumed there would be an online generator for them, and I was right. I used this site and its very simple to use.

I decided to make up a few plain business cards with just the QR code on, the same day, drunk in Manchester, I managed to make a few new contacts. It seems that people are very intrigued to use them, they are simply unaware as to how!

WorkHealthMatters is an occupational health company I was recently asked to brand. This will be a full rebrand and is currently an ongoing project. I imagine the logo will develop much further the more I begin to create the company’s identity.

I’ve forgotten how beneficial tutorials can be to improve and learn new techniques on Photoshop and other design software alike. Wish I had more time to do some and there more creative hours in the day for me to make my own. Fun nonetheless. Here is the results so far of a quick one I did the other day.

I’ve been asked to do some designs for the Bowdon Lawn Tennis Club junior tennis team. All the brief consisted off really was ‘do something funky’. Seemed easy at first but then I realized how limiting a tennis racquet and tennis ball could limit you when designing something contemporary and funky for print.

Above are a few ideas I have generated quite quickly, still need some refining. I’ve missed designing clothing though which is becoming more and more obvious to me.
