Vegvisir Collective is a new and upcoming occult film making collective. I am excited to be working on the development of the website and the rest of the brand development. I will be posting updates of the design work as I go, but for now, check out their showreel and other work. Plenty more to come from these guys!
First order of business…
My little cousin is starting to make his mark on the music scene. He’s only 15 but by his attitude alone, I know he’s going to be good (not being biased!).
If you’re into your house and dance music, give his latest mixes a listen here.
I’m back on Tumblr.
University sucked the fun out of blogging for me, but now that is done and dusted, i’m back. With the introduction of my new website just a few days away, I thought it was time to start this back up again.
I look forward in engaging with the creative fellows I follow and who follow me ever so kindly back, and all the new followers I’m looking to acquire.
Hydro74 is a designer whose portfolio I enjoyed exploring. He had a range of work, well explained and well presented.
I was recently contacted by the MUMS society at Leeds University, asking me to create another poster for an upcoming event. I did a flyer for the society last year and it seemed to go down well, so I was pleased when they asked me to do another.
The theme I was given was “Futuristic vs Prehistoric Cavemen”, which was a bit of a challenge but I decided to play on the ‘versus’ aspect of the brief and looked at old boxing posters, which inspired the final design.
Barack Obama illustration I did using vectors in Illustrator.
Faces Of Fifa is an idea I came up with sat in my student house with friends as I watched, and participated in the heated games that take place. Emotions run high and there is never a dull game. I thought it would be a good idea to document people playing it through photography, capturing the array of facial expressions and poses that can only be witnessed in this situation. If you wish to submit your own photos on to the blog and have them edited, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Anonymous said: Hey Marc, i was searching on the internet and came upon your Charles Morris Christmas Poster Design and was wondering if i could use it for an event at our school.
Yeah that could be arranged. If you want to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get it sorted out.
Impending University deadlines is where all laziness loses credibility.
